Abies magnifica is an evergreen Tree growing to 60 m at a medium rate.
It is hardy to zone 5. It is in leaf all year, and the seeds ripen in October. The species is monoecious and is pollinated by Wind.
Suitable for: light , medium and heavy soils and can grow in heavy clay soil. Suitable pH: acid and neutral soils. It can grow in full shade semi-shade or no shade. It prefers moist soil. It cannot tolerate atmospheric pollution.

Habitats1500 - 2700 metres. The best specimens are found in well-drained gravelly-loam soils on northern or eastern exposures with moist cool air.
