Citrullus lanatus is a ANNUAL growing to 0.5 m by 2 m .
It is hardy to zone 9 and is frost tender. It is in flower from July to August. The species is monoecious and is pollinated by Insects. The plant is self-fertile.
Suitable for: light and medium soils and prefers well-drained soil. Suitable pH: acid, neutral and basic soils. It cannot grow in the shade. It prefers dry or moist soil and can tolerate drought.
