Rubus chamaemorus is a PERENNIAL growing to 0.3 m by 1 m .
It is hardy to zone 2. It is in flower from June to August, and the seeds ripen from July to September. The species is dioecious . and is pollinated by Bees, flies. The plant is not self-fertile.
Suitable for: light , medium and heavy soils and prefers well-drained soil. Suitable pH: acid and neutral soils and can grow in very acid soils.
It cannot grow in the shade. It prefers moist or wet soil.

Cultivation

Easily grown in a good well-drained loamy soil in sun or semi-shade. Avoids calcareous soils in the wild and is often found in boggy soils. Considered to be a gourmet fruit, it is occasionally sold in speciality stores. Dioecious. Male and female plants must be grown if seed is required.
