Panicum capillare is a ANNUAL growing to 0.6 m by 0.3 m .
It is hardy to zone 5. It is in flower from August to September. The species is hermaphrodite and is pollinated by Wind.
Suitable for: light , medium and heavy soils and prefers well-drained soil. Suitable pH: acid, neutral and basic soils. It cannot grow in the shade. It prefers moist soil.

Cultivation

Requires a moderately fertile well-drained soil in full sun.

HabitatsOpen sandy or stony soil or cultivated land in N. America. An occasional abundant weed of carrot crops in E. Anglia.
