Gaultheria adenothrix is an evergreen Shrub growing to 0.3 m .
It is hardy to zone 9. It is in leaf all year, in flower from May to June. The species is hermaphrodite and is pollinated by Insects.
Suitable for: light and medium soils. Suitable pH: acid and neutral soils and can grow in very acid soils.
It can grow in full shade or semi-shade . It prefers moist soil.

HabitatsConiferous woods and sub-alpine thickets in N. and C. Japan. Edges of forests in more or less dry places at elevations of 400 - 1900 metres.
